Episode 21 is the first of a two part preview of the 2011 NBA Playoffs. In part 1 Dog and Deuce set their sights on the Eastern Conference. Which tops seeds are safe and which risk being upset in the first round?
(1) Chicago Bulls vs. (8) Indiana Pacers – Can the Bulls maintain their thunderous momentum against an Indiana team with nothing to lose? Will Carlos Boozer have one of his trademark playoff collapses and put more pressure on Derrick Rose?
(2) Miami Heat vs. (7) Philadelphia 76ers – The Heat often struggled to close out games in the regular season, something they cannot afford to do against a Philly team that is hungry to prove themselves. The Sixers will need to rely heavily on Andre Iguodala to stand a chance against the big three of LeBron James, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh.
(3) Boston Celtics vs. (6) New York Knicks – In what may be the most compelling and heated first round match up, the Knicks are eager to prove they are one of the Eastern Conference’s elite teams. With Carmelo Anthony, Amar’e Stoudemire and Chancey Billups, New York has the talent. But do they have what it takes to overcome Paul Pierce, Ray Allen and partially insane Kevin Garnett?
(4) Orlando Magic vs. (5) Atlanta Hawks – The Magic are on a mission to get back to the NBA Finals while The Hawk want to prove that they can win when it counts. The addition of Gilbert Arenas to the Orlando roster gave them more veteran leadership and a great compliment to Dwight Howard. But will it be enough to stop Josh Smith, Joe Johnson and Al Horford?
