D&D #50 – Paul Kruger (Baltimore Ravens)

December 3, 2011

Baltimore Ravens fans are starting to take notice of Paul Kruger.  They are starting to see the fire, intensity and determination that Utes fans became familiar with in 2007 and 2008.  Kruger was picked up by the Baltimore Ravens in the second round of the 2009 draft (57th pick overall).  The Ravens for years have been revered and feared for their insanely fierce defense.  So for them to use a second round pick on a kid who only played two years of college football (in what is seen by many as a sub par conference) speaks volumes about Kruger’s talents, ferocity and potential.

Paul Kruger was kind enough to call in and talk with us about his Kruger Care Foundation, his thoughts on the Utes’ first season in the PAC 12, what pressures are involved with having two brothers making their mark in college, his adjustment to the NFL and much more.

I met him at fannz at fashion place right after he signed his pro contract hell of a nice guy. Enjoyed watching at the U and with Baltimore.

  2. I agree. It struck me how unbelievably nice he was. Most of the guys we talk to are very cordial but once in a while guys like Paul Kruger and Christian Cox come on and blow me away with how genuinely nice and humble they are.

Thanks for listening and for your comment, Scott!
