This is by far the most controversial episode we’ve ever done and is sure to ruffle a few feathers.  More than anything we hope this show continues the discussion about the role of sports fans and their allegiances to players and teams.

We would love to hear what you think about the Jimmer situation.  Give us your thoughts by calling the D&D Show Voicemail & Text Line at 801-477-7678 or email us at feedback[at]doganddeuce[dot]com.  You can also join the discussion in real time by tweeting at us (@DogAndDeuce and @TheDog801) or leaving a comment below.

Show Notes:

  • In the most controversial episode we have ever done, Dog and Deuce take aim at the insanely vocal BYU fans who packed Energy Solutions Arena last Saturday to see Jimmer Fredette return to Utah to play the Jazz.
    • Should fans be able to stand and cheer for an opposing player?
    • How far can they go before it gets out of hand?
    • Are we making too big a deal over this situation?
    • If you are a BYU/Jimmer fan and a Jazz fan how did you feel when he missed the game winner?  Were you bummed the Kings lost or happy that the Jazz got a much needed win?
  • Plus there is a small event going on this weekend called the Superbowl (maybe you’ve heard of it?).  We preview the game and give our predictions.
