So many idiots, so little time.  Between Bobby Petrino’s scandalous motorcycle crash and idiotic comments from Ozzie Guillen and Rajon Rondo we had a ton to talk about this week.  And somehow we still managed to fit in a recap of REAL Salt Lake’s huge win against the arch rival Colorado Rapids and breakdown the Utah Jazz’s playoff push.

Show Notes:

  • RSL beats Colorado in the first leg of the Rocky Mountain Cup
  • How will RSL fair against Sporting Kansas City, a team that is playing at an elite level.
  • The Jazz’s playoff chances seem to get slimmer by the day.  What record do they need in the final 7 games to sneak into the 7th or 8th spot?
  • How happy should Jazz fans be with Gordon Hayward’s second season?  Is he progressing enough to justify the high draft pick?
  • Bobby Petrino has outdone himself this time.  After crashing his motorcycle with his mistress, Petrino lied to the police, press and the University of Arkansas.  Today he is unemployed.  Do head football coaches have the egos of politicians?  Do they believe they are invincible?
  • Ozzie Guillen told Time Magazine that he respects Fidel Castro and went so far as to say that he loves the former Cuban dictator.  Needless to say this has many Marlins fans very upset.  Guillen has been suspended and has since made a much publicized apology.  Should he be fired?  Would this be as big of an issue of Guillen was in any other market than Miami?
  • Rajon Rondo made comments that he has no interest in playing in the Olympics and went so far as to say there is nothing anyone could ever do to entice him to play on Team USA.  His reason: he likes his summers.  Is he being disrespectful to his country and athletes throughout the world?
  • The Saints appealed the sanctions by the NFL following the “bounty hunting” scandal.
