Show Notes:

2013 Draft

Former Ute Star Lotulelei and former Cougar Ziggy Ansah were both taken in the first round of this year’s draft. Can they both be immediate contributors for their teams?  Can they have long, successful careers in the league?

For the first time in over four decades no running back was taken in the first round. Perhaps even more odd, only one quarterback was taken (and it was not Matt Barkley or Geno Smith). In a quarterback driven league, is this a sign that the league is trending toward emphasizing defense or is it simply a reflection of this year’s talent pool?

Playoffs – First round

Are the NBA playoffs predictable and boring?

We discuss which series’ are the most intriguing and which second round match ups we would like to see.

Can anyone stop Miami?

Can anyone in the west stop Oklahoma City?

Cleveland Cavaliers

Inexplicably the Cavaliers decided to re-hire Mike Brown. Do they really think former Lakers head coach, the man who could only lose with the best talent in the league, has what it takes to rebuild a franchise? Or is Dan Gilbert just insane?

Major League Soccer

Real Salt Lake vs. L.A. Galaxy

RSL are getting results despite their scoring struggles. They now face a Galaxy team that is strong defensively and a consistent thorn in the sides of the RSL faithful. Can the home crowd help get Real back on track offensively?
