Dog and Deuce #175

The national media had a field day this week when Peyton Manning announced his retirement in the longest press conference imaginable. Naturally writers and radio personalities across the country debated who should be on the clichéd “Mount Rushmore” of quarterbacks. Rather than throw our opinions into this already watered-down conversation we narrowed it down to one simple question: Peyton Manning or Tom Brady?

NBA

Utah Jazz

The Jazz followed up a seven game win streak by losing ten of their last thirteen. What happened between then and now? Is there any hope of still making the playoffs? Is there any hope for progress going beyond this season?

College Basketball

BYU Cougars / March Madness 2016

After losing to Gonzaga yet again in the West Coast Conference tournament, BYU fans – along with the local media – are placing the blame squarely on Dave Rose. While no rational person is calling for his job (yet), the lack of progress has many people frustrated. Again we ask: is this criticism warranted?

Utah Utes / March Madness 2016

After narrowly beating Colorado in the final regular season game, the Runnin’ Utes are set to face USC in their opening game of the Pac-12 tournament. We continue last week’s discussion about whether having extended time between games will hurt Utah.
